This new line of Classic Pooh just came in from Kids Preferred. They are super soft. I love the large and small Pooh. I can’t ever remember seeing swirly designs in the plush of a teddy bear–so that’s kind of novel. I’m not sure how kids are going to react..our interns (all in their teens) grew up on the Disney version of Pooh and his friends. None of them considered these versions “real”….so we’ll have to see how our testers respond. They sure are soft!
Needed to share this face with you right away! So cute and amazingly soft. More to follow on this classic handmade line of huggables from Steiff.
The weather is a little zany here in nyc…windy, oddly warm, sun, then no sun…in any case it made me think of the really playful collection of Les Deglingos. Everyone that comes into our office reaches for them…they have a folk art feel–but are edgy all at the same time. The mixture of textures are fun for little fingers to explore. Read our full review.
We arrived at our offices a few days ago to be greeted by this moose, a bumble bee and a black bear- three of the new animals from Zoobie Pets. Here’s the great things about Zoobie Pets, in each belly there is a wonderful soft fleece blanket. So in one fun toy you have the fun of a soft huggable with the added perk of it being the perfect take along for your blankie!! I would have loved this– like Linus, my security blanket was really important to me! Parents will also like that the blanket can either remain connected to the animal by a zipper–but it can also be unzipped for easy washing. Very clever! We have given the animals we’ve seen to date an Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Seal Award.
If you’re looking for a first huggable at a great price, check out the new Bright Beginnings Jiggle Brights from Russ Berrie. With a suggested retail of $10, you really can’t do better. They’re made with soft Velour in a bright engaging pattern and have all stitched features – making them a perfect choice for older babies and toddlers. Very sweet.
